Centenary of the Laying of the Foundation Stone
The Bishop of Lewes, The Right Reverend Will Hazlewood, visited St Michael's on 17 March 2024 to mark 100 years
since the foundation stone of the church had been laid by his predecessor, Bishop Henry Southwell.
Murder Mystery Evening
The Angelic Players presented "Who Killed the Caretaker?" to an appreciative audience
Blessing the Boats
Our annual service of Blessing the Boats was able to return this year.
There was music from Sir Robert Woodard Academy Steel Band and St Michael's Band.
The service was followed by cream teas in the Church Hall.
Parish Pilgrimage to Walsingham
Pilgrims from St Michael's visited the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham for the annual parish pilgrimage
and also explored the surrounding area.
Archdeacon of Chichester visits St Peter's
The Venerable Luke Irvine-Capel preached at St Peter's on Mothering Sunday.
Before the service he planted a tree to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and during the service
he blessed items recently installed in the church including a new sanctuary floor, tabernacle and bell.
